How to install and play MM6-8 Merge Multiplayer

Since this place is brand new, I figured I'd try and get a few things up, such as this underappreciated mod for one of the best mods any blobber has ever seen. First thing, as the listed game suggests, you get Day of the Destroyer. GOG has it right here: https://www.gog.com/en/game/might_and_magic_8_day_of_the_destroyer - Since this game doesn't have a mod manager, you might want to hardlink or copy your vanilla install somewhere else for later or if you screw up. Don't install Grayface first. It comes with Merge. Once you have that, you download and install all four packs IN ORDER. Older versions of the mod had terrible ways of connecting, but now it has a proper server browser. Just remember that in multiplayer the lobby leader decides some settings.
